I've been out on the non-flow channels for the last 3 days - Ice is still poor on the large bays & main Lake, along w/the flow channels...

The Ice never completely thawed out on many non-flow channels with last week's warm-up...

-w/stealth ~ some of the best early Ice-fishin' is from string of docks with easy to punch holes & then use a long-pole from the shore to score...

How did ya do?  Was worried the rain and warm temps today may have eaten some of the good ice in this area.

Ya I been watching the weather also.  Pretty much going to ruin all outdoor activity this weekend. Maybe a trip to Bass Pro and Cabelas will be a better idea.

Weather like this makes it hard to be a southern Ohio ice fisherman. Putting up with real cold weather is a lot easier if you get rewarded with some good ice. Guess we will see how bad the "warm" weather will effect the ice.

It's been a long hardwater season for sure  :)  I started Ice-fishin' the IL docks & channels since the last week of November to present... (did take a xmas break for family visits)

Looks like a wet weekend for the Icers w/warmer temps & rain in the forecast, but the channels n' docks should be OK if you know your way around IL. 'Taint gonna go out on a limb and say the large bays & main lake will be safe for sleds and Icers after Friday--
