Okuma Stinson Si-10a winterizing
« on: Dec 09, 2013, 08:01 AM »
hey guys ,
As the topics says, id like to know if anyone has undertaken this task. or if they think its even  required. i have 3 of these reels ,new in box that i plan on using this winter and wonder if  the grease and oil that came with the reel needs to be replaced with a low temperature lube. also  are there any shops that actually can do this for you. looking at the parts schematic makes me shutter. LOL! any help would be great

Tim

Besides seasonal lube with reel butter oil, I haven't had the need to break my Stinson down after 3 years. Great micro reel.
