For numbers a small Swedish Pimple with chartreuse tape, and a few maggies. For bigger perch a small perch pattered Chubby Darter.

Like the others said, you can never go wrong with a Swedish Pimple. My favorite is any of the (now plentiful) tungsten marmooska style jigs such as the Fiska's Wolfram jigs, K & E Skandia jigs, CJ&S Chekai Jig, the Northland Hard Rock Mooska Jig, the Eco Pro tungsten ice jigs, Bentley Jigs, etc. These are productive in just about any color, but I prefer bright colors particularly chartreuse, fire tiger and pink!

Forage minnow. Last year on a tough bite Fiskas with a small buckeye deadsticked, but jigging them is more fun.

If you consider it a sport to gather your food by drilling through 36 inches of ice and sitting there all day hoping that the food will swim by, you might live in northern New York

Anything Northland tackle. Jammin jigs. Any variety. What I do is when I go get bait I buy a few jigs at the local bait shop. Pays huge dividends with the information you get from them. They are the ones that get the info from the fisherman. Mostly locals. So a few bucks to put me in the right direction is well worth it as well as stocking my tackle. 2 for 1.

I like the Swedish pimples in various sizes and colors, northlands with plastic such as scuds, impulse mayflies pink/ white was good on perch and gills same for bloodworm, and a good bait was a pimple with hook taken off 6in dropper size 14 glow jig with a single spike was good as well for the picky ones beating the mud and raising it above the silt cloud

If your going to spend some bucks filling your box, any of the standards mentioned will work.buy both vertical and horizontal presentations.. kastmasters, forage minnows, pimples, jigging raps(when feeding aggressive).  fiskas, mamooskas, lindy fat boys tipped with maggots or small plastics (when they are pickey)
it's all fun and games till somebody looses a walleye!!

Spoonfeeder jigs:-)

The spoonfeeders are theBOMB! .........I pulled some nice perch and slabs this fall around the pillings at I Bay on the pink glitter with tinsel spoon. There's nothing like vertical jigging!

Lindy Iceworm or"Genz Worm" some call it. Usually the green glow or the red glow. Somedays you can put em down fast enough. Pimples glow or blue work well also.
