« on: Nov 25, 2013, 07:43 AM »
recently i bought a old model 30 off a guy for 50 dollars. put a new carb kit in and recoil cord and it runs great. but upon putting it back together i can`t seem to figure out how this large spring for the throttle linkage goes on? any one go pictures of it or could tell me how this spring is supposed to go and work?

try going to jiffys web site,I have found diagrams for older models there in the past, the spring I think you are refering to hooks to the advance on the flywheel, its a flapper kind of looking thing

Got the tank off of mine tonight, this is what the springs look like.  Hope it helps.

It's only weird if it doesn't work.

Thank you so much. What I was looking for was a decent pic of the big spring on the right. I figured it out. But this proved that I had it in the right spot. Thank you so much. How old us your model 30? Having difficulty finding out how old mine is.

I think it is about 24-25 years old.  I want to say the serial started with 88-, but I would have to take a look when I get home tonight.

You can email Jiffy with the serial number, and they can look it  up for you too.

It's only weird if it doesn't work.
