I did get to watch two guys fish with a tow strap and 3/8 rope they also used a camera and after three hours they caught one it was red and 8" diameter and approx 40" long . It was the guys auger it somehow came disconnected. They stood it up and took poses with it lol .

Saturday comin up couple of us r plannin a fishin trip all day but I decided where to go... We have been on Pasqua and echo all year and mission a few times, as of late we just can't get on the walleye or even the burbot, we rEally wanna catch some burbot but can't find me and not sure why? We are thinking about either just doin the normal Pasqua tour but wouldn't mind a further trip like fishing lake or maybe crooked lake, but we have never ice fished these lakes before.... Any suggestions?

If your mainly after the Burbs, your not gonna find any in Fishing Lake, as far as know there are none in there, some big Pike though! As for Crooked Lake a co-workers buddy landed a couple Pike in the 22 lb range on Monday! I don't fish there often, but I will check with him about where to go for Burbs and get back to you!

Had a decent day my buddy and myself we caught approx 25 Wally's and about 10 tullies on pasqua west. As we were driving back towards the Sioux bridge we notice a half ton that drove too close to the river mouth on pasqua side and it looks like he dropped the front end thru the ice. Tks gkomo

Had a decent day at Katepwa yesterday. Went to drive on at the north end and there is a lot of water on the ice to the left. Looks like a small creek is draining onto the ice. Probably still safe but we didn't want to take any chances. We turned back and ended up walking out, but the all the holes we drilled were 40"+. All the fish were deep. The perch were all 30FOW+, and we were catching pike out that deep too. Didn't catch a single fish in less than 28FOW. Didn't get a pike on the tip-ups in shallow, but got a 4, 8 and 20+ out deep. My buddy dicked around with the 20+ for prob 10 minutes as she kept going for runs and then another 5 mintutes under the hole, but could not get her up. Gaff wasn't long enough even with a scoop taped to the end of it as an extension. She finally did a little gator roll and cut the line. Caught about 20 perch, 5 dink walleye and a tullibee. Going to rig up a hockey stick gaff for next year!!
