Fished north shore today. Ice varied from 2-5". Some all black. Some almost all white. Some half and half. The ice varies to say the least. Caught 23 dink eyes and a perch. Managed to take home 2 that were 20" ers. Tough day out there for me to try and find the legal ones. Guess that's why they call it fishing and not catching. Stay safe out there.

I checked the ice in front of my place this evening. It was anywhere from 2-3 where I was. Gonna try to get out this weekend. Saw guys out towards constantia and towards Cleveland. Stay safe out there boys

Crossed over the mason Dixie line today with freddy, lots of fish on the screen all day, but like prying a paint lip open to get them too bite, I ended up with 8 eyes on the ice ......4 keepers, and 4 just short..... fished 8 am to 130pm... Ice is 4 inches near shore and 2 inches out deeper, stopped at 20 fow, spud kept going threw.

Freds big 24 incher he let go

Fished yesterday and today. Yesterday was Lewis...1 keeper 15 " eye...lots of eyes under me but got there late. Ice varied in thickness. Some white on top of black and some all black. Drag was tough .

Todays events produced 25 slob female perch with a couple jacks. My Dad and Nephew managed 15 slob perch . All the perch ranged 10-12 inchers...couple 13. Did throw back lots of 8 inchers Used the old stand by "1/8 ounce gold kastmaster" tipped with spikes did the trick with the help of some tip downs. Perch were attacking the bait all day. 4 inches solid Black ice

had a great day with the snag as always, slow start they were mud monsters for sure and sat till 10:00 till they were interested, they were very moody , it took a little charming , and what nice fish , we quit a 1:30 i had 12 eyes with 10 keepers from 17.5 - 24" thanks for the pic Shane , that new camera is so small and does great pics , better than banging around your nice one ,hope your back feels better in the morn , great job MM on the perch

Got out yesterday for a few hrs and then again this morning. Both times on the south shore. Kept 2 yesterday and 2 more today. Lot of marks but tough to get them to bite. I wish I could look over Filet's shoulder for a while to see what he does. Todays fish were nice 21 and 23 inches. I should have put the 23 back but it's the biggest walleye I've ever caught. Sorry, I kept it. I'll put the next one back. Met Filet and "Jig Head" ? in the parking lot. Filet, I've gotta make one of those sled's like you have. Back out again maybe Sunday, Monday and Wed's. Thanks to everyone for commending my efforts. First ice is always best. I truly appreciate all your photo's and updates. You guys know who you are. Its not a passion, rather an obsession.

No Buckeyes at Marion as of this morning. I think he said delivery Saturday, Try Hometown Bait if you're coming from the east or, make the trip to App's up in Cleveland.
