Jiffy propane auger problems...
« on: Feb 08, 2013, 02:47 PM »
my Jiffy propane auger was working great until it rolled onto it's side in the back of the truck leaking oil into the carb.  Got the auger running but not running good at all.  I was wondering if anyone had this issue and how they fixed it.  thanks for any help!

I havent had it happen yet,but I would think that you need to get the oil out of the carb, maybe pop off the air filter and try spraying a little carb cleaner in it while its running,if that doesnt work I would pull the carb off and give it a good cleaning with carb cleaner, blow it out with some air and it should be good, how much oil came out?

I would say the oil fouled the plug. That type of oil is not meant to burn. Use carb cleaner to remove visible oil around the carb and if it still won't run right, change the plug.
