auger/drill attachment
« on: Feb 04, 2013, 06:36 PM »
just wondering if anyone has ever used those augers that attach to your battery powered drill?  looking for an easy, lite weight option instead of having to drag out the heavy gas powered auger.  It doesnt seem like they would work very well but then again what the heck do i know!!!

I would stay away from those. Your battery powered drill probably doesnt have the juice for many holes if any. I could be wrong, but I tried one years ago and it was a disaster. Just remember to bring a backup if it doesnt work!

I have been playing around with a new attachment product...
6in Lazer synthetic pulls its self through the ice with ease. Once we get 8-10 inches of ice im going to drill holes till the batt goes dead... Im useing an 18v drill
