My slick new ice fishing sled
« on: Jan 22, 2013, 09:27 PM »
I got tired of carrying my pack basket, my auger, my chair, my bait bucket, ect. so I spent some time over the holidays and built a sled for towing my prized winter possessions. Check it out:

Right side- rear rod holders, and place for a bucket metal D rings all over the place for bungee cords.

Left side, note the front flip-out rod holder, and the flip out cup holder (yes its camo when its folded up)

Top compartment

Bottom compartment, with front rod holder stowed

It works pretty slick. Those plastic fishing sleds have destroyed the ingenuity and pride involved with build a custom rig. Id like to encourage people to let their imagination work, and build a custom rig.

Hey, don't forget whose yellow plastic fishing shuttle was the basis for your design!   ;D

Nice job!  good idea. It might tip easy, I found the width was important. My jet sled slides easy and carries a load.

Very cool.

Nice job, like the paint you can hide from the fish.
