Tonight; Monday the 21st I found a rather large, expensive piece of equipment sitting next to the the snow bank in the Bay parking lot.
I want to get this back to the rightful owner as I'm sure he is going to be missing it.
Message me with exact details and brand name of what you forgot there today...

Please pass the word for those who might not be on IS.

Thanks,

Dave

  • of all liars; fisherman are the most trustworthy.
When I left the ice around 6pm I saw Slabbincabin heading out there, said he was going out to fish with NHdeadhead. As far as I know they were the last fisherman out there tonight. Hope it finds its home. Thanks for posting!

That easily could have been me Saturday night leaving in a hurry to get home to mom and a sick kid with my other two goofs on the ice, but I have accounted for all my large and small stuff (amazingly).  The only thing I didn't do was cover the auger blades for the trip home and, apperently did not figure this out even after putting the auger inside for a day and a half. :o  Hope it finds it's way home.  The owner if not from IS will probably post a note down at A-Bay, hope that does not allow someone to cheat it.  Whoever claims it get a drivers license incase someone else (fradulently) picks it off.  Then you have an ID to trace back.

well initia inspection appears that I have everything big, auger, popup, two sleds and a two burner... but with that said, i was travelling extremely heavy having two guys from alabama with me (didnt want to see them freeze there @!s off)  but I think I am likely complete of big expensive things...

thanks for trying to find the rightful owner.

my guess I i saw NH deadhead last night, I was going to take a peak at the cool looking shack on my way to grab something out of my truck and bam... there was someone in there!  cool shack!

when I left at there was one other group beyond us and NH deadheads group.

I guess to say expensive, I'm thinking this item is in the $200-$300 range?
To me that's expensive... These days anyway!
I'm sure someone will be packing to head out this morning and hope the light dawns on Marble Head! Ding, what  did I do with my stuff!!!

Well, I figured if I left it there in hopes that someone would return for it, some kid(s) would snag it and it would be down at the pawn shop this morning never to be seen again.
I'm going to contact parks and rec and the PD as well.

Ok so ill just throw out there what it is:

It is a portable shelter. $200-$300 range?  As a safe estimate.. The rightful owner will tell me exact size and make or they're not getting it!!

Hope karma comes by means of fish.. Lots of fish... If not for me my two boys, it would be sweet if they could catch a nice laker!

Corollary lesson of the day (to which I am guilty of at this point too),  put you name a dress and phone number on your gear.
