My slender spoons came with a quality snap that all you have to do is make sure it is snapped ...

Mine was snapped. The little turned out locking end pulled straight out. The main snap was still hooked. I would post a picture but i put it down the hole after I cut it off......

just curious. during cold front and or a high pressure systems it is neccessary to down size to 1/8oz slender spoon. seems like 1/4 oz size is the ticket for everyday

Those light flutter spoons will hold you up if you get on any real action deep, by the time they hit bottom after the first fish, that schools history at the guy besides you hole. Then you become a spectater.

That's when you throw down the Lighting Spoon  ;)

...or any number of heavier spoons, like the oneida lake favorite's the pimple ,doojigger or kastmaster...  everything has its time and place, knowing when where and why, is the real "Key"

good point snagger.  light lures (spoons or jigs) drive me nuts when i have them stacked below me... rig up two rods one light (spoon or jig) one heavy (macho minnow or pimple)
