46*f. here a bit chilly this a.m. hoping buy the end of the month will have 25*F at night... hopefully snow to... next month the day time temps might change to 40*F in the day and towards the end of the month to maybe in the 30* F during the day... let's all hope for December.. for first ice early December...hope I am not overly optimistic...

last warm day of 70's, then back down to 50's for highs and i see 30's for the end of the week for lows. wheres the 60's go?

i remeber the 60's. 1967 was a great year for snow! had some thing around 7 feet of it in our yard. was a blast making hills to slide down and snow forts!

reminds me of the snow storm of 1977 too. got dumped on big time that year too.
i had to wait for a truck trying to pull out a stuck in the ditch car and a county snow plow plowed me in right there in the road. i couldn't believe he did that to me. had to get out the passenger side and walk to a friends house that i was trying to pick up to take to work at western. it was up to my belt waliking thru a feild. later that day, one of my bros x-country skied over my truck and said it was buried for sure.
they declared an sate of emergency after i tried to get to work that day.

Remember jumping off 4th floor roofs in College (GVSU) into 15' drifts during that storm, going icefishing was a bear but most public access's were plowed after a couple of days. Made a small fortune during that storm, had a large back pack and snowshoes, $2 bottle of Ripple or MadDog was going for $20, couldn't make enough trips. Still 62* outside

yep and it's going to go down again to on the 28 of October there calling for 28*f at night too on the 28th and I think day before and day after it will be about 30 or 31 *F at night those nights then go back up again..it is fluctuating till the cold stays for a while and you get the opposites like cold for 4-5 days and warm 3 days.. "like a flip of temperature" this happens every year but this year it earlier buy about 2 weeks ... I hoping for ice in early December but you just don't know. just got to keep a eye on the weather for a month or two...if you get a warming trend for a week or two may push back ice a week or two...which we don't want ...

humidity and rain water will screw up paint for sure tarp it if you have to... your better of waiting to finish?

i hear ya. its almost done, but i'll have to wait it out til moday it looks. wahoo a 3 day weekend!
29 friday and saturday nights, brrr. might be able to ice fish outa mud puddles tho.
