So are all they bait shops done selling suckers in the southern LG area?

I know Joe's Baitshop in Schroon  still has a few dozen big suckers left, 6"-9"

Sounds like the US is out due to ponds in South Dakota being completly frozen.  They sure are losing a lot of money by not having any.

Went out into the narrows yesterday morning from Vet's.  Still great access and conditions.  Pressure crack in Sawmill is starting to open up but just pick your spot and give it some gas ;D  Perch bite was solid and ended up with quite a few hoggers in the bucket.  Saw a handful of other wheelers around the islands.

We went out by the Scout cabins on Tuesday and it was solid in the morning but at 5 PM the ice settled and a pressure ridge formed from the point on the right  all the way to the point on the left, water on the ice and we had 3' of good stuff to get off on. Not sure what it looks like after the rain but we figured that was our last trip out from that location.

There is no more ice in hague/ticonderoga.. the whole lake is wide open.  put some gold fish in an ice tray, fill the trays with water...put in freezer and drill some holes in the morning see if you can get some goldies.... i hear perch eyes are working well.

I'll be checking some access later today.  Possibly fishing I'll report back, but the fresh snow on the ice makes me nervous trying to cross any cracks, especially alone  :-\

My access up here on north basin is going to be good for over a week probaly more.  Got out today for perch, it was way too windy for the tip ups. Really had to sort through them and after a while stoppped getting so picky and got my limit plus  23" &24" lakers that went back.  Walking was easy everything had hardened back up

I fished out of Blairs Bay today.  Ice is the same as Berkely's picture.  Pretty windy today, but the lakers are still there.  Everything was in shallow, 50-70 feet.  Shorelines are still solid.  No one out today, had the whole place to myself.   I'll be off to the Battenkill in little bit, see you next year.

Anyone know how access is to PK?  Any problem with the pressure ridge?  Is getting there now from the beach with a quad an option?  How's the perch bite been?  I'm sure we didn't lose much ice from the 18" we had 1 1/2 weeks ago.  Will probably start losing the shore soon.  Planning to head up to the KING Tues. AM and considering heading out to PK.  Wish there was still access out to Huddle Bay.  Had a good year with perch out there this season.  TKX ahead of time.

I was out there on saturday and the ice was getting bad fast and quite a bit of it was coming up in chunks when drilling and it was thinning from the bottom up as well due to currents.  The pressure ridge was fine when I was there buy like I said, just because there is a lot of ice doesn't mean it's good ice.

Pickeralpicker91,  Thanks for the update.  Will be leaving the quad home and do the hike out around the point north, hoping to get into perch.  Will bring my board and spud ******d hoping I will not need to find out how good the full flotation suit works.  Heading up in a few hours.  Cheers!!!

I will probably pay for access.  Trout House in Hague will let you on from their property if you stay with them.

we just plan on going up for the day. Anywheres else on the lake that shore lines won't be destroyed and be able to get lakers?
