I fished off MBD Sunday 6am-630pm very slow one 20in LLS and a few other flags only one laker chasing after the jig on my FF in 40ft. I could have jigged up countless dink yellows but who wants 4-5in perch. All in all not a bad trip for what is most likely my last ice trip of the season

When's this dang thing gonna thaw out? Specifically Hearthstone, Harris, NW Bay areas?

I swear waiting for ice out is even worse than ice in.  :-\

Did you smoke that thing yet Ed?

Neil, I was out there Sunday and was sure it would've been open by now. With the rain on Monday and the warm days we've had especially. All we need is a strong North wind.

This lake doesn't like us very much this year. Either it doesn't want to freeze safe or wants to hold just enough ice that we cant get the boats on it. I fished it once this ice season and that was it. More because of work schedule then anything else but i really want to try jigging lakers off the boat. So cmon weather thaw her out.

I was thinking about taking my rowboat right to the edge of the ice pack and somehow attaching to the ice so I am stationary.

Seems like it would work well  ;D
Goin' where the wind don't blow so strange,
