it rained yesterday and today most of the day....and we had 30+ mph wind gusts today.

I honestly wouldnt trust the ice right now with a life jacket.

Also if you read back about a page, Vets beach was already covered. That access went out about a week ago. It might be in the LG perch thread.

For the die hards, Hearthstone had access on Saturday, by the guard rail. Still 2 feet of ice, but getting soft. No bubblers, but rocks along the shore are attracting the heat, one step in the wrong spot, and you're swimming with the fishes.

Hey guys, I think as far as the ice is concerned, it's over for me as I'm already jigging the open water. Wanted to give you guys a taste of what you can look forward to in the very near future! Was good seeing old friends out on the ice again and wishing you all good luck this spring/summer!  See you on MFF!
All the Best-Mike

Bill, good luck on BML this weekend. Wish I could make it but I'm starting my every oher weekend rotation this weekend  >:(  I hope you hav nice weather !

Jeff, most of the lakers we've been catching are in the 3-5 lb range but the bigger one was just short of 10lbs. They are still very deep right now, 110-140 FOW and we're bottom bouncing spoons and buck tails. Almost as fun as through the ice but not quite the same!

Wish we could have hooked up more this season.  Definitely let's do some open water fishing this year.  With luck the salmon and lakers will be active at camp and I'll get you guys out on the boat

Ice on lg!

Haha was working up in Bolton today and found a little ice. Not quite fishable yet but it won't be long. Hopefully it will be earlier than the usual 3rd week in January but we will have to wait and see
