Hey I just saw this post from back in 2012. I have fished Lincoln Pond a few times since the last time I posted on here in 2012. I Still have not caught any tigers neither in the spring, summer, or winter but have heard of a VERY FEW tigers being caught. They have still been stocking tigers but they are so small I have a good feeling all the pike are eating them up, as Lincoln Pond is loaded with small pike. It seems that only a few tigers are making it to live another day. Hopefully in years to come the tiger population and size will increase!
so the musky stocking program doesnt seem to be working at all. i would hope the dec will look into this and make adjustments. it seems with an abundance of small perch the pike would have enough food without eating the little tigers. you and i both know people that live there on the pond and they said they have never caught one.

they are in there. been going up there for over 30 years. they are in there. in the summer when u get one they are usually on the small side, but if u get one in the winter, they are nice.

even if they did plow the campground, you cant get a truck in there. the gate is closed and locked. the island is a great spot to fish for all that. weedy, structure, shallow, food. I feel all they have to do for the musky program is just let them grow a little bit bigger before stocking. they definitely are pike, and bass food at the size they stock em.

I'm going tomorrow. I have always fished on the North side. Tomorrow we are going to try the South side for the first time. Still after one of those rare Tigers. Is the area out in front of the beach a good location to set up?

ive fished it a couple times. I did well. it was a few yrs ago, but it was at a time I had some big @ss shiners. and it seemed the bigger the shiners, the more fish I was getting. nice bass and some nice pike. however it was a cold day and lots of snow, and I wont walk it again.

I have notice it seems any of the decent and good spots on Lincoln produce the same. what I mean is there are many closer spots that I have gone to and do just as well if not better

i know what you mean but those big pike are territorial and keep the smaller pike out of their areas.somewhere on the pond there is an elusive huge pike and sometimes you have to fish a different locations. that is a long walk especially in the snow and cold. i still like the island the best only because when i was a kid i caught some nice fish there from shore. many moons ago.

Haven't heard but I'm disappointed that it was kept, mostly for selfish reasons

I agree. ive been going up there for over 30 years, have a camp that been in the family since camps were there, and wasn't sure if there were any pigs in there. good to hear there are some though. and as long as they keep stocking it like they do, they should be ok, but just don't hear much of the tigers

I fished Lincoln on Fri and Sat. Bitter cold, really windy, lots of snow on the ice. Great combination. Pretty sure I was the only person fishing on the pond on Fri (couple people on sleds). On Sat people on sleds in a couple shanties just north of the island. Didn't see anyone else fishing anywhere. I caught nothing both days. Fished near island both days. There was 3 feet of ice between the island and boat launch (where I fished on Fri). Fished between island and bridge on Sat. I sat in my truck to watch tip ups.

Lots of ice. 36" of ice between island and boat launch. 18" - 24" between island and bridge.

my buddy who has a camp next to me up there tested me that it was his hunting buddy and is waiting for  a pic. I specifically asked him if he believes them, or if they are BS'ers...he said they are definitely not BS'ers, so I want to believe it. he is working on getting a pic from them. and seeing as ther isn't any cell service, its tough
