Sandy Pond...home of the dink perch and 1 meal a month fish AW
perch in sandy pond never heard of such a thing. i heard that they get a few in sodas bay though once in a while
What about that fat 13er you whacked me with last time we fished together out there .... that was the last one Only dinks remain
Tom, are you telling me the honey hole is now honey hill?
Water level should be coming up with all the runoff from the snow melt coming down little sandy...
Yes they can. That brings about an interesting question. If the lake level remained the same and the ice formed basically trapping the fish in or out of the pond, would that kill the fishing as compared to other years? I would note the outward flow of water as it exits the cut on the sandy shore line is still quite voluminous meaning that our tributary is most likely doing its job to add to the volume of water in the lake proper. The problem is that controlling or operational factors by the powers that be have" let too much water out of the bath tub" to simplify the explanation. It would be interesting to hear others chime in on this subject.
And believe it or not we have had water this low before. the boat slip behind my camp still has about 6" of water in it, in years past I have seen it where it has gone out 20yds before the water starts. We will be fine just have to fish a little further out than normal.
Finally , a good story
