Why is it every time I spend big money on some electronics the next year they come out with something better. A never ending cycle. This should make everyone happy who bought a Showdown 5.6 last year.

Yeah right, if the most expensive sonar for ice fishing applications is awesome to you, go for it.

I'm still gonna pass on this for the same reason I didn't get a ICE-45/55. I still do not trust a LCD in the cold. Yeah yeah, it's got a heater to keep it fast, still doesn't change my mind about cold weather LCD performance.

The cone coverage feature is neat though, nice to know how much area you're looking at with the selected cone/depth. I think I'm gonna make a spreadsheet for my bird for this........

I haven't seen anything on this, but did marcum incorporate a GPS on this like lowrance had done several years ago? I think it was the M67 ice machine. If marcum is gonna do this giant LCD, they hopefully have the ability to integrate camera/gps mapping capability on this thing as well. How sweet would that be to have a flasher/camera split screen on the same display.....

I have used my ICE 45 in the coldest of cold, and never have had a problem. It also has AMAZING battery life due to there no moving parts!

They all have their advantages and disadvantages.

haha my truck get 8 mph so yes,id better lol..and im thinking of trying to breed wax worms before winter,apparently you can get thousands in a few months.. but my ol lady of 6 years says that a jar or maggots in our house is taking it too far lol.....women....
