I just got one, I have fished in it 3 or 4 times. I like it. The seat is a little to high for me. I need to modify it . I bought Farbill  the light bar. You don't even need a laturn at night. It is very roomy.  I think you will like it.
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

Bass Pro has one more left it's the floor model, saves you from having to assemble it.  Might even be able to get them to knock a couple extra bucks off for it being the floor model.

Bought a Commando from GM on Thanksgiving for $289.  Also received $20 per $100 spent in GanderBucks that day.  My first Shanty and I love it.  I can remove the seat and it fits under the cap on my truck easily.  Nice size sled.   I can load it with gear and tip the front of the sled almost (about 80 degrees) and get the front on the cab of the truck.  I can grab the shelter by the metal bar where the seat goes and pull the sled into the truck very easily.  I was concerned about the extra weight when I bought it and have never been bothered by it.

I checked on the light bars and was wondering where you hung it from?  Did you hang it from the loop right above your head?  How do batteries hold up in the cold?  Thanks

I have one for days when I go solo and a clam voyeger for days I have company.  the weight is a big plus VS the bigger shanties and the sled is a big plus VS the the flat cabin style.  The only drawback that I have with it is I hit the rod on the canopy from time to time due to the steep angle and it has cost me a few fish this season, I have had the Commando for about a month and am pleased with it over all.  The one advantage to the frabill is the travel cover with the access zipper on the top for getting gear in and out without removing the cover.
