Good day in the southeast.
« on: Jan 14, 2011, 04:17 PM »
Hit a local trout pond with Ledbetter & Funfish3 today, I was on the ice a little before they could get there. It was a great day out with good friend's. I iced a few perch. kept moving to deeper water and ended up with about 20 run's and drop's. I don't fish trout much but I'm guessing my size 6 hook's were too big?? I was able to jig a bunch of yellow perch up with the showdown, That was a balst even though it wasn't our target fish for the day, Funfish3 managed a bass and Ledbetter pulled through at the last min with a nice rainbow.

Had a visitor who turned out to be Bozeiceman, Good to meet you! I was just getting ready to mention the shanty when he did. Ice fishing world is getting smaller all the time. ;D

Had so much fun were doing it all over again tommorrow, no one will have to mislead the boss tommorrow to go either. ::) ::)

Lunch. ;D

First fish I have jigged up with the showdown, many more to follow.

Always have at least 1 pink trap for the wife if she can't go. It usually produces the most too.

Funfish3 and a bucket mouth, Well a small one but it's not a skunk!!!

Ledbetter's Bow.

If you have any 14 or 16 sized treble hooks, try those. I use 12-14 for lakers. If your using a single hooks go to a 8 or 10.
Great day guys!! Hey Bog those tip ups....Well at least your secure in your manhood.. ;D
I do notice Funfish and Ledbetter were a ways from ya.... :P
Hot dogs look great!! Those the thick skinned snap when ya bite 'em's??
You'll be practiced up when you get up here from the looks of it.
Hit'em hard tomorrow.
