Would like to hit Flint Sat AM and was wondering if the lake is completely iced over and if the ice is safe?

I heard the ice is fine. There was a place the geese had open but I think it's closed. Good luck, would love hear your report.

Please report back on ice conditions and fishing. I would fish this lake more if there was better parking. Every time I plan on going here, the 2 parking spots are taken so I end up on long or loomis.

the parking is what it is.  if people park close to one another when they get there we could fit quite a few trucks down that boat ramp. its the one guy who pulls straight down and parks right in the middle that makes parking limited.  I guess if you got a good spot and dont want anyone else to know about it on flint, park right in the middle and the whole lake is pretty much yours.

Was out at the North end by Hillcrest. There was about 6 people fishing, the guy next to me caught a nice gill. I didn't stay long. The ice is about 5in. Thinking about going to Long tommorrow....Beets

If you are driving west on edgewater from calumet/old49, as soon as you cross the tube, go left at the stop sign til it T's then turn right follow it around and its at the bottom the hill..

We made it out last night and nothing on tip ups, managed 8 perch between 3 of us ranging from 3" to 4.5".  Ice is 5" thick.
There were guys diligently cleaning the ice to play hockey while we were out there. We fished the north east end.
