I use fat heads and when that doesn't work I go down to crappie minnows.  The bass minnows are a little big this time of year but I have caught some nice big ones on bass minnows.  Sometimes when the bite is tough I put some flash a couple of inches up from the hook.

3-5 inches, hook behind the dorsal fin use a #4 treble, with largest slipshot 6-8 inches above, or use Swedish pimple size #3 and change out hook with 4 or 6 treble.

Just above the weeds. You want to keep the bait out of the weeds. Maybe 2-4 feet deep.

is there a certain depth of water that you would try to find to target the marbel eyes ? loomis is got a lot of them in it , Ive never seen anyone try to target them with any kind of success. lot of different depth to target  from 0 to 60 ft or more .
so much different scenario's, anyone with any ryme or reason as far as where to start?  there has to be a massive school of them some where on the lake.  just pickin some brains here , any true or tryed techniques that may work, or at least preferences ?

i have been fishing fingers coming out of deeper water going into shallow water. They are following the perch and coming into the shallows to feed.
