Have the Picks on my body and I use a throw-able flotation device (Boat cushion) as my bucket seat cushion.

I always have picks. First ice, or when I have any doubt I wear a PFD. also have rope and throwable on my ATV.

This is my first season with a floatsuit. Before on early and late ice I wore a pfd vest and have my picks . And yes commen sense is the best,but you never know with ice.

I have to say the Arctic Armor Plus suit is warm even though it is light. Cuts the wind, water proof and will float you if you fall in. What's not to like

This season I've got an Arctic Armour suit that I wear everytime I'm on the ice. Early and late season I add picks, an easily accessible throw rope and a spud bar to check the ice in front of me.
