Wawasee was still fine when I left at 1230 I would assume that you would be fine. Just messy with the water laying around on top.

Hello,

I'm new to the site! This post was right on time for me. I have a trip planned to see my gram and fish Sawmill on the 1st and 2nd. Any info is appreciated. I've caught awesome fish out there in in the summer but have not made it there for the ice yet. thanks

Welcome Tony. Sawmill has some great panfish in it. Seems when most people fish it through the ice I see them on the southwest corner. I'm planning my trip out there next wednesday but I'm sorry I cant tell you where I fish. (unless you pm me  ;D)

I fished today in Warsaw on 4-5 inches of .....what was.....clear hard ice. When drilling holes ice was coming out in chunks....not good. And on the way in at 530 pm my spud was penetrating 1.5 inches in the soft ice.....not good either. Be careful!  I will probably wait till the cold temps come back.....still got 2 months of fishing...hopefully.

Thanks for the info! The system will not let me PM! No big deal, looks like my plans to head out there need to be put off for a few weeks.

Be carefull on Sawmill that lake has some current running through it. Always seems like it takes forever to freeze, I have never fished through the ice but I do see people out there every year.

also i am new on here..this is a nice site glad i have found it......bill
