Looking to try a new spot close to me but cant get any info.Heard it has some walleye and crappie.Anyone familiar with this body of h2o???

Takes a bit to freeze solid. I have fished there for years, both open and hardwater. Just like anywhere else, gotta find the fish. Nice sized gills, perch and crappie. Usually my go to spot if the weather is too bad to drive to chautauqua or silver, or if I have my kids since its only a 30 min drive. I'll definitely be out there a few times this year.

blue gills at otter creek seem to be the best fish to target, have hear-ed of some guys doing pretty good on crappies at night. also some good pike fishing 10#Er's.

Otter used to be a little secret spot both during the ice and after. Everytime I go there now, theres already someone there. Gotta be careful of the current there, makes the ice change thickness as you move around

when will this be safe to fish i live in lockport and love it in the summer its my favorite lake i didnt think you could get out there during ice because of the creek and dam....

definitly an excelent lake in the soft water season, i personaly have trouble getting into the fish on the ice. gona try harder this winter i thought al the perch where small untill i got into some nice 12"r's out of the boat. the walleys, pike,crappies, and gills have always been good sized.need help finding good places and access point i usually fish around the island east of the big bridge not much luck last year.

that is one lake i always forget about. its a close ride for me but end up at silver and honeoye will deff try it this year/..how deep is the water off the public launch

My son fished alice today. Fished all around bridge at boat launch. One rocky. Also fished the shallow bay around back nothing. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.

fished by kenonville rd bridge on sat and by the island east of the big bridge didn't do anything at all fished otter creek sunday and didn't do anything seemed to be good ice everywhere

Anybody have a depth map of Alice? I'm wondering if the deepest area is under bridges in channels. May try it this weekend.

far end of the lake by the dam is the deepest. i would suggest fishing otter creek or find some shallow weeds and structure.

I tried last year but wasn't certain of depth. I had found shallw weeds but struggled for action. And the the kids became bored fairly quick. Are you talking in general the midpoint between Island and Dam? If safe, thats about my starting plan and then work backward.

Be careful. This is a reservoir and has current making ice thinner. That area between the island and dam is over creek channel so water will be moving.

OK...thanks for that. This is exactly why I joined. You guys help icefishing greenhorns like me. I truely apprieciate it. I will fish this lake a great deal in the future as my camp is right there in Waterport on the Oak. So not having ventured on Alice in a boat and lack of a topo. has me doing my own recon. Which I am certainley ready and willing to spud around but it is nice when guys provide the "heads up" on things like moving water.

I fish it all the time spring and summer with good outings each time. Now ice fishing it different story ive tried 4 times now and caught 2 small bluegill. i dont get it, maybe i need to go with someone who fishes this lake often during the winter

I've always done well there, hard or soft water. Decent bluegill bite, some predators on tipups. Theres current so usually takes a bit longer to freeze.

It's 60 plus feet on the north said east of the launch. Couple hundred yards from the launch
