Was thinking the same thing ^ anyone know how much it cost for a Canadian liscence and have any suggestions on where to go? Never been to simcoe before but have heard good things. If it's worth it and the only way to get out I'm down!

They're saying colder temps the next couple weeks but the 3 feet of snow they're calling for down there all but puts the nail in this seasons coffin I think....... unless we get a brutally cold February

We'll be fine. There was 2ft of snow on the ice a few weeks ago. Went out and had only an inch or 2. Wind will take care of it.

I still think  we will get out. We got to fish up there at long point the weekend of the 8th. It was nice to be out but the fishing was tought. Probley caught 50 with only 2 keepers. Tryed to get out of belle tower and Vikings but the spud went through in 1 hit. Hopefully those opened back up and freeze after all the snow this weekend. Mark

I believe it needs to get a helluva lot colder,we'll need at least a week or more of teens for the highif we have any chance.All that previous cold and the lake never did lock.I see on the lakecam that at least the South basin is still frozen,we may be able to fish LP again,but not North of that !

Open water from just above the ferry crossing all the way down to between Ashville Bay and Smith Boys.  Ice in Bemus Bay looks like it could go at anytime.

Wish it opened back up like this while duck was still open!! We might have some days left too early to know for sure. I'd be happy to have the boat in there early or mid March anyway.

You may have gotten your wish, I heard the lake is open from Mayville to Lakewood, can anyone that has been by the lake confirm this to be true or false.

I poked all around long point then tried Victoria and prendergast. It's all a no go and just for Tyrone I don't do mayville. That spot is all yours.
