Yep have it saved too. People at work walk by and ask what I'm watching. They think I'm some environmental nut and I say "nope just waiting for ice fishing".

Nice. All I hear about it is from my wife. Usually its something along the lines of "That...again....seriou sly?". I like watching the 31 day animation. It lets you see how the ice has been forming over the last month.

Sad part is I get p.o.'ed when the 31 day shows some of it backing up.

Ya, but in general it is expanding. So as long as it keeps doing that ice fishing is getting closer.

I think it would be a good idea to provide a link that gives the overall view of the entire United states and Canada, I always have a hard time navigating through the noaa.gov website to find it.

Lol, well maybe not. Looking at the update i might have spoken too soon. But heck, if it freezes up in the next couple weeks have at er. You'll have to figure out amongst yourselves who gets the fold out couch though.

and im 45miles n. of that! we're usually the coldest in the lower 48. too bad theres no open ice season till' jan. 1.
