You could try painting some red on your silver hook...I have around 20 Hali Jigs in the tackle box in a variety colors because some days it takes changing them out many times until they start biting....Yes I have copper/flouro red also....

Ill end up buying more ever year. just cant spend more on jigs when i have a wish list still for this season thats 400$ long lol

I hear ya....I buy a few each year...Keep an eye out on eBay for them, one time I bought 4 and with delivery they cost me $8.00....Also make sure you have some spare hooks (with the chain) because the pike sometimes give them a strike....

try the shucks lures and kodiak perpetual motion jigs too. they are alot cheaper than the halis and are deadly on everything from trout to whitefish to smelts.

 Love the Hali jigs but hate the chains that come with them. I replaced the chains with 2" mono sting'r hooks from Northland.

lake snake...I just googled the "mono sting'r hooks from Northland" so I could see what it was...That is a great idea you came up with...

  I use size small when I tie my droppers. They can be a bit of a pain but thats what my himos are for. ;D

I bought a bunch of them before i ever caught a fish one.

I just cant get used to how heavy they are...

Ive got quite a few but I still dont use them very often.

use these all the time, gills,calico,perch,trout and smelt. used with my showdown and tipped with meat, great combo.

That gold and orange is usually a pretty good color.

They take some getting used to though just because there so heavy.
