I've never seen a snow snake (not sure if I want to), but I see lots of sign along the snowmobile trails and out on the ice.

report from Michigan:

Snow Snake Population Growing in Highland Recreation Area
December 30, 2008 by Jay

Snow snakes were seen slithering in the snow inside Highland Recreation Area on Saturday, December 20th. Have you ever heard of a “snow snake”?  Do you think maybe it’s a unique  reptile that survives Michigan winters slithering in the snow? Have you ever seen one? . I think maybe their skin is white and camouflages them so that they are rarely seen when a wintry blanket covers the ground…

Snow snakes can and will cause broken bones bites can cause loss of memory blood loss and many other medical emergencys  One thing of note there is evidence that being bit by a snow snake can lead to sleeping disorders

Over the years, snow snake reports originated from some of the following notables; Johnny Walker, Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, Hiram Walker, The Christian brothers, Remy Martin, Old Crow, Old Grand Dad, the Hart Brothers, Ron Rico and Capt. Morgan, to name a few. :)
