What a zoo
« on: Feb 14, 2010, 03:37 PM »
Man is Sabbatus a zoo. Went out for a couple of hours today. No flags flyin anywhere. Ice racing dirtbikes, full blown car ice racing in two spots, one official, one just goofin off. Trucks, cars, trailers all over the place. North end looke like a zoo too. Looks like Nason's was wide open for access too.

It's no secret that the week days are the best fishing. On the other hand, most people only have the weekends to fish! :)

Most of us know where to stay away from on those weekends. :)

My friends went Saturday and Sunday and they said Saturday was a lot busier.  Today was extremely slow fishing though, only had two flags all day with one pike caught.  It's a good thing we had the dirtbike to keep us busy, the "toys" are a lifesaver for slow fishing.

Yup, I knew better than to go on a weekend, but its close and I only had a couple of hours and we're on foot so we gave it a shot. That'll be the last time I think. It was a riot to watch a guy abuse his volvo wagon on the ice  racing track, then pushing one of the ice racing cars that had died. Well let me clarify. The car was being towed behind a trailer that was hooked to a two wheel drive truck which couldn't move. So the guy just puts the front bumper against the ice racer and starts pushing the whole thing. Only in Maine.
