I WANNA STOP THIS SEBAGO RUMOR IN IT'S TRACKS.

There is no truth to the rumor that we are cancelling the Sebago Derby at this time. There also is no truth that the Statewide Derby on 3/6 & 3/7 has been cancelled.
If either of those Derbies are affected - it will be posted on IS immediately.

When these rumors get spread it affects the charities who benefit from ticket sales. We've already got over $65,000 in prizes waiting for registered ice anglers  to walk away (or drive away) with them all.

By the way, I want to thank the 21 Shanty members that have signed up already to drill holes for the Kid's Derbies. ( Still could use a few more @ Range). Could somebody bring a banner or flags for photo ops?

I can't wait to see the icegator in action!  My line of hole will prob curl around the icegator as I will prob watch and see how it does and not pay enough attention to the holes I'm drillin!

Eventually...  I drilled 50 one day to see how it would hold up and it didn't even blink- and that was on one of those 10 degree days after it had been out all day.  Like I said, this will be a good test.  I have a feeling my blades are a weaker link than my battery.  Hope my new one arrive in time.

OK- this may be close to the dumbest question of the year, but...   When you pre-drill holes for kids at these derbies, what's the deal with cleaning them out.  DO you just drill a pile of holes and go back and skim them out after?  Just kick the slush away and scoop them out at fishing time?     What about on a really cold day- is there a back-up chisel crew to reopen those 3 hour old holes?
