i found a new farm pond to fish on this winter...during early ice (2" of clear) i noticed allot of crappie taking of from the point where the spring enters so i thought it would be a good place to get some however i fished for a whole week with 3 tip ups and two jigging rods and only got one (i was quite happy though it was 13") i tried drilling allot of holes, moving, fishing deep, fishing shallow, fishing the edge of the weeds and still couldnt get into a school is there something else i should be doing ??? >:(

Possibility on a farm pond in them eating something very prolific, specific and in an odd area. Simply need to imitate it, check  stomach contents and see, match the hatch. Size, shape, color, movement..........may end up being something you never would think of, have had it happen a number of times.
