   My 10yr old Jiffy Lectric is not cutting good. Goes about half way through & ices up. Does anyone know a shop in the Lew/Aub area or Augusta that is good at auger problems.

by ices up do you mean the blade ices up? if so its probably dull and needs to be sharpened or replaced.

    The point builds up slush & the fins & shaft above the cutting edges ice up.

i would say it definitely needs a good sharpening to solve your problem.

i had similar problem with my jiffy this year and last..bought a new blade for it $35.00 at cabelas, and cut's like butter now. doesn't ice up at all ::)

alls you need is a flat file and be very careful and slow   make sure the file lays flat on the cutting teeth when you move the file  after you sharpen it a few times you will get the hang of it
