Dad would be proud
« on: Jan 17, 2010, 10:40 AM »
When I was a kid, my Dad took the time to help me make a jig rod.  I loved making it and using it, but I never caught anything with it no matter how hard I tried.  I found it this past summer (28 years later) and decided to give it a shot today.

It is no trophy, but it meant the world to pull this one in.  Better late than never.

I used a pink kastmaster with a worm.  I was able to jig in some yellow perch as well.  My traps landed me one brookie.  Great day.

Nicely done my friend.  He would be very proud of you.  Sometimes the trophy fish that means the most is not the biggest fish or even a coveted species

It is a PRIVILEGE to take any animals life not a right and that privilege comes with some responsibility a license to fish and hunt is a license to be a sportsman not a license to kill
