New Year's Day largemouth and pike
« on: Jan 02, 2010, 09:20 PM »
Hey everyone,

I check this site almost daily, but this is my first ever attempt at a post. My dad and I hit our favorite pond on New Year's Day and ended up with about ten largemouth, two pike, and about a dozen pickeral. The pike weighed in at 8.5 and the biggest largemouth at 4.5.

dad's 8.5 pound pike

My 3.5 pound largemouth

4.5 pound largemouth

Dad's Xmas present!

How do you like that Shappell 6000, I've been thinking about buying one, how many guys can you fit in it, does it set up easy?  Thanks

It sets up and takes down in 5 minutes. Fits into a case you can strap on as a backpack... pretty slick. The only downside to it the other day is that it was starting to sweat inside with the propane heater on and the snow falling. We had four people in it at times.
