So if i decide to put some fluoro leader material on my pike tipups, 50-100lb, is it gonna have memory when i spool the leader up on my spool and get all coiled up? If so, any solutions?

Yes, it will develop line memory.

A good half hour soak and some line stretch can help.

Why do you need 50 to 100 lb ?

I think that heavy of Florocarbon leader material would be pretty spendy. $$$

You could back down to a #20 or #30 lb florocarbon fishing line, which would be less money and a little more supple.   That would also help you tie a better knot.

You may have to change the leader after a couple of fish, but you'd also be able to afford it.

Just my opinion,

Im really not worried about the $. Ill spend money for quality and success. Second, regular fluorocarbon fishing line, id never put on my tip ups, its not as abrasion resistant and i would hate to lose a big toothy cause of this.

got ahold of some 80# and it really seemed to inhibit the baits swimming action. It was seaguar 80 and in the cold water it was just way to stiff for a 6-8" shiner to drag around. (watched on the vue) i used about 3' of leader and the baits just got tired of fighting it and just hung there. my 30# sets had more than triple the flags. Just ave 8-14 pounders here but wasn't thrilled with the results. also no break offs with 30 and i often had 4-6 fish on each leader before i would re tie later at home.

No break offs? Maybe i will have to look into the 30.

on a side note..
i use qiuck strike rigs (floro) with 2 #8 trebles..no break offs
my buddy uses 4-6 inch shiners with a single hook..he lets them eat it good so they tend to take it deeper. He has had very few break offs but has had a couple. Just have to play with the set up and bait. if you use big suckers or shiners(8-12 inchers)an 80# would work. i tend to number fish not trophy fish and 35-38 inchers are the main target.

Well its not like im fishing any major pike factories on a regular basis, 35-38in northerns are pretty darn nice as far as im concerned. If your having good results on fish like that with 30 then ill have to definitely consider it. Do you make your own quickstrike rigs a-bomb? Or do you buy them.

You will have memory issues for sure with heavy flouro.  I make my own quick strike rigs with 100lb flouro, but I use heavy bait so its not much of an issue, however sometimes I will "stretch" and/or work the leader/rig for a few seconds over a smooth round surface like a bottle or something to make it a little more manageable.  If I'm using small bait (6-8" range) I'll just use rigs with one treble so it hangs nice.  I do plan on experimenting with lighter stuff down to 40lb this year, since I've had such good luck with the 100.

i just make my own with smaller trebles about 4" apart. the first one with a trilene knot with a long tag and the back one with a polymar knot. the front hook is red and back is black nickle. Not sure why but it works. out of habit a tiny touch of super glue on the knot to eliminate slippage.

been using 30lb. floro. leader  for muskie and pike. never had a break off yet. just check your leader after a fish. if it has a abrasioncut and retie above it so you always have fresh line near the hook. i like a sz. 6 treble also.
