Lets hear all of your thoughts on when you will be able to get your first outing. Last year I was out on Dec. 8th. The middle of the lake was open but the ends were frozen. This year I'm saying, Nov. 29th.

I've gotten used to associating "1'st ice" with a Blaine/whoever report from Wood Creek over the years.

Put me down for Dec 4'th. I'm feeling like a later start this year with a cold x-mas and ice to match.

I'm sanding the quad trailer for it's new paint job and I'll be bringing the quad to my buddy for new brakes.

Since Wed is my day off, I'm going with Dec 9th!

Nice spanks. I bought a new polaris 550 atv this year and I don't have to watch you and trooper blow past me on winchester this year. See you up there.

I got on CT ice in November last year.  I would consider myself lucky if I could do the same this year.  First or second week of December and I'm happy.

Hopefully thanksgiving weekend for a few smaller ponds with some larger lakes locking up by mid-December.   I’m really dying to get out on the ice again this season so hope it’s a nice cold winter!   Grin

I hope it's not till Jan. 1st! Just when I was ready for ice season and put away all the soft water gear I found out the state dumped a bunch of breeder salmon in the local lakes! Shocked Shocked Shocked
I never caught one before, and the guys on the lakes say they are VERY hard to catch this time of year.
    Huh.  Roll Eyes
I just put in three days fishing with my fly rods and got a 4, a 5 and a 5 3/4 lb.  I lost an 8 lb'der next to the canoe after 10 minutes fighting! All this on a 4.4 lb tippet! I'm lovin November!!! Shocked  I'm packing the freezer with salmon and roe ( I roll a lot of sushi).
I love ice fishing, but right now I'll take open water, thank you. Grin

The weather down hear sucks for making ice, but never underestimate the north west hills. That is early ice any ways. Mid state won't be untill january anyways. If you want to fish you'll have to poney up at the pump like it or not. The gas prices killed me last year.
