Those darn Fall Fish!!! I have a plywood cover on my bait tank. There is a piece of the tank that isn't covered, about 2" by 2" and they keep jumping out. I have lost 4 of my big ones. That small of a hole and they can jump out, they must be jumping at the light when someone turns on the basement light. I'm gonna unscrew all the lights down there!!!

Anyone else having this problem? I'm going to buy a new sheet of pylwood.
THATS WHY I DIDNT TAKE THE TANK BRO THOSE d**n FALLFISH ARE CRAZY I BEEN DEALIN WITH THEM FOR YEARS BRO.

Now that I've seen that awesome tank Pats put together mine feels more like a fish bowl.  Regardless, I got my tank up and running.  Need to pick up some filter cartridges.  I run a light inside the insulated cover to prevent the filter from freezing up when the temps drop.  The tank is outside in an unheated storage shed.

Karl, give me a call, come take a look.  I'll supply the beer.   Now all I need is bait.  Here's to ya.

Seth, It's a packing crate that a friend gave me a couple of years ago.  Use to have all the foam lining to protect what was inside.  It's about 40 gallons.  Not huge but it does the job for my needs.

Try tossing an airstone in there, too.  Or drop the water a bit so when it comes out of the filter it falls a few inches.  You want to see bubbles where the water falls back in.

I was able to do some trapping this week. I think I am on my way to bieng done very soon. I went down to the basement today to add another dozen. I noticed one of the big ones had something hanging out of its mouth. It was one of the small shiners. After looking around I noticed most of the small ones are gone. Huh Now I know where they went!!! Shocked

I caught 20 about 2" long but noticed that there were only a few in the tank. I thought they jumped out but didn't see any on the floor. Wondered where they had gone but now I know.
