Auto Jigger
« on: Jun 28, 2009, 02:58 PM »
I posted in the Equipment forum and the Jigging forum but I figured where it is slow in here now, I will try here too!

I am looking for plans on how to make an auto jigger. I know people have made them from windshield wiper motors but I would like to find sone plans so I don't waste money with "trial and error."

Thanks,

Ben

Whaddayamean, autojigger? One that refills itself with Yaeger after the shot? Or wun garrunteed not tuh spill in yur ride?

Jigging on ice? I just tie my line to my tip-up flag and slide the flag in or out to adjust tension and let the wind do the rest. I got e-n-o-u-g-h gadgets that require batteries! Perch traps work OK too.

Anyone ever seen or used one of these?  http://20belowproducts.com/ Looks like it may work and I would like to know if anyone has used this before I buy one.

I remember seeing a post on here last season where someone made their own out of an old Bar-b-q rotisserie motor. Had a video and all. I think it ran off of a Vex battery, but I could be mistaken there. Kinda neat, but I don't see where I'd ever use one.

what you can do to controll the timing of the jigging of the wiper is to hook up a adjustable timer off a live well pump and a 12v reostat switch to controll the speed..

they make those jigging tip ups which for tip ups are worthless but the jigging mechanism may help you
