My Juliana has been coming out fishing w/ me on the local ponds for the past 3 seasons.

Here she is on her first trip when was 2. I was grinning ear to ear when she walked in the door the evening and said "Mama, all I caught was worm"

It was until she was 3 that she finally pulled one thru the hole after Dad set the hook.

Now this year at the age of 4 she didn't want daddys help at all, we missed a lot of fish at first, but finally in mid-Feb she got it right (circle hooks was the ticket) and iced this baby, I couldn't have been prouder and didn't the the heart to make her throw it back.

God, I love having kids.

Great post...thanks for sharing. I wish the world was full of great dads...we would be a lot better off. I hope to do the same with my baby daughter when she can walk and talk. Nice job.

And yes kids are priceless. I could have gone without kids, and now that I have 2...I can't imagine not having them.

Awesome! I love the pictures. Makes me excited to get my daughter out there next year. It's also cute to see the little ones wanting to be so independent now adays. It's great! Those are some pictures to frame and put up on the wall.

Great post! and such a cute little girl!
My baby girl has spent many ice fishing seasons with me and we had a lot of fun.
But she is 16 now and this past year was the first time she did not want to ice fish with dad.
They grow up so fast!!

I took my four year old out this year and he loved it kids make me laugh nothing else like it then seeing the smile on there face when they catch a fish
