Slush on sebago
« on: Mar 03, 2009, 03:17 PM »
Was planning on fishing sebago next weekend and was wondering how the conditions on the lake were in terms of snow/slush? Really enjoyed the conditions over derby weekend and was hoping the lake didnt get screwed up with all of the snow.

Thanks,

Tim

i think it will change if it warms up, sunday just before the storm was mostly shiney ice and some spots with an inch or two of snow and slush. i drove from the nwest to fryes, down to the station in the south, all around fryes and no problems. it will change if they get some rain friday.

wow. I was expecting there would be a ton of snow on the ice up there. It's supposed to be cold tonight, so that would be good to lock things up. I hate those days with a foot of snow on top of 6" of slush!

how much snow was there? i figured most of it blew off during the storm or right afterwards.

I think it is cold enough tonight to lock up what ever is there.

i stopped by last night.  the snow blew away for the most part.  there were some big drifts but it was not bad at all.  no slush as it is too cold.  warm temps might not hurt it that bad
