Started off the weekend Saturday morning at 3am and went to a pond way back in the woods. Was 42 degrees when we left and a light wind was an excellent day. Iced 53 togue,no real big ones but the rubber bands work AWSOME. The pond we are fishing is a dead bait pond and we have of hit and spit flag but not this trip.

The limit was 2 togue a piece and we easily limited out. Forgot the camera in the truck in the morning,after we picked up I ran back out to the truck and grabbed the camera for the kill shot.Here it is.

We then picked up and headed for the truck. The temp. had dropped almost 25 degrees by this time. We loaded everything up and set off not to make it to far when we couldn't go anywhere due to ice. Here a shot of the road.

Made it just this far.

Luckily we located a skidder to get us out. Here it comes.

This was look for a little ways over three miles.

We made it out safe and sound ready to go Piking on Sunday.
On Sunday my boy started the day out with a fine bass following up with another.

Then my buddy Bill got his biggest fish to date through the ice.30"pike 6.5 lbs.

Then my Cousin Justin got his biggest to date ever fish. 34" 9lb pike.

Cant wait for the pike slaying for next weekend!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like you had a great weekend with good fishing. That pic of the road looks familiar, just got back from a trip and wouldn't have made it out with out chains.

That's just great. Just when I think I have everything I need to go icefishing, traps, auger, bait, 4-wheel drive vehicle, now I have to bring a skidder with me. When does it end?

Wow! Legendary! Go fishing, catch nice togue. Get stuck, locate nice skidder. Go fishing again, nice bass. Fish some more, nice pike...etc.

We kept eight togue and released the rest.

The pike were eaten and the bass released.

When GM makes a diesel motor as tuff as Ford 7.3 then I will go back to a GM product. This is the first Ford truck I have ever owned. Thanks for the comments.
