Sebago Mystery flag
« on: Feb 17, 2009, 08:42 AM »
Fished Sebago this weekend, Fished a sharp drop off with a line of traps. I got one flag on the shallow side of the drop-off, about fifteen feet of water or so. Unfortunately it was a hit and run. Any ideas as to what it might have been? Bass, Perch, Togue?

I'm very excited about the derby, mostly because of all the togue that it removes from the lake. I once caught a 7 pound lake trout trolling on sebago that had 53 smelts in it. Do a little multiplication and that's a lot more smelts making the trip up the Songo to spawn...

Good luck to everyone fishing the derby, watch those pressure ridges and second place is reserved for you!

According to my math, that's 53 smelts that wont make it up the river to spawn ;D ;D ;D

Your hit and run could have been a Salmon too :nono:

Good Luck in the Derby

Togue are notorious for hit and runs, they often spool out several yards of line and drop it.
