been fishing almost exclusivley for brookies this year have many many hours logged in hopes of catching one my buddies and myself have found some fish and it has been producing well all year however I've been cursed and while they were catching them 20 feet away on the same depth, rigging, bait ect. ive caught the skunk, but finally today after catching the skunk on parker (not knowing were to go probally had a lot to do with it) we decided to fish minnihonk for a couple of hours before heading south and finally it produced a small brookie for me, hopefully one of many to come the rest of this year

thanks I figured that it was about time 300 soft water brookies is not uncommon for me so I figured it was about time to put one on the hardwater

Nice! i thought i was doing good with 20 or so.. Thats some jiggin brotha, My kids would love that hole... I live about 10 miles from there and have never ice fished it.. Only fished it from the dock, thats where we take the kids swimming sometimes.. nice!

Try behind the store early then move out to deeper water. Go to the church and work a line too the piont .

nice looking brown I was wondering if they were catchable in the lake
that lake certainly seems to produce some nice fish especially considering the size of it

my fish was caught about halfway between the two streams just past the store on the route 41 side near a downed tree

That is a good spot. We pulled out at least 6 GOOD BROOKIES .All over 4 lbs right in front of the store. That is the first brown we have ever caught. Think it came from flying pond.

Just got back.

SLOW DAY ! I was there a 4:00 am until 3:00pm.

The other guys got a few nice fish. Look what they where using for bait. Sea smelt !

I had one flag all day, and it paid off nicely.

I had just put my shack in the car, and set a tipup in that hole. I jigged at least 30 perch. Not one over 5". Guys did good out further for splake. 11hrs on the ice and 1 flag. It was just like the old days hanging out with my friends on the ice. Lots of venison on the stove. PA. may be where I live now,but Mt Vernon is my home.

I was the first one on the lake at 4:00 am. By 5:00 there was at least 50 holes in the ice. Slow day . I was the last one off at 3:30 when the big one hit. Had to get the girls in the restaurant behind me for the pics. I grew up on that lake, so it is like a reunion every year.
