I just went up there on Sunday and there were still two shanties out on the lake. I'm went there from Milwaukee. It's a great excape. You could say almost theraputic. They've got about 6 inches of snow up there right now, and about 5-7 inches of ice yet. If your going there for a good hike I'd recomend the 2.6 mile trail that's part of the ICE AGE TRAIL. I think it's much better than the 4.2 mile trail. I could run that without getting too winded. Of coarse I'm 17 so it might depend on your age. Bring some friends, have some fun, and take some pictures. It's beautiful.

everytime that i go out to pike i do catch fish on the weedline in the middle of the lake but i can never seem to get on those perch it really pissess me off but i do catch lots of walleyes i throw most of them back to fight another day but it is still fun

I FISHED PIKE IN THE PAST, I ALWAYS GO TO THE STATE PARK AND PARK THERE, I GO STRAIGHT OUT FROM THE BEACH AND FIND THE DROP OFF THEN WORK MY WAY BACK IN SETTING TIPUPS I SCATTER THEM ALL OVER, ME AND MY FISHING BODY ALWAYS HAD BETTER LUCK AT NIGHT, GOOD LUCK FISHING TO ALL WHO GOES THERE IT'S A GREAT LAKE.

I have recently fished at pike lake and i have lots of success fishing for northern pike and perch. For perch i usually use a light action jigging pole with 2 pound test line and i tip a tear drop with a crappie minnow.Currently there is about 8-11 inches of ice on pike lake. For northern pike i usually use dead smelt or a big shiner. You can also buy bait at the bar.

Hey Nick, I am heading up to Pike on the 9th. coming from Burlington. I scoped it out this weekend just to see it for myself. A beautiful lake it is indeed. Any tips on where to fish and so on would be appreciated as it is my first trip there. Please e-mail me if you can afford to dish out anything helpful and thank you in advance.

Hello ice fishermen and fisherwomen I'm requesting Pike Lake it's a beautiful lake.A little small but is nice for fishing.I've only been fishing there for 2 years.It's inbetween Hartford and Slinger right on HWY60 theres a bar with a boat launch where u have to go to get on the lake.thank u and good luck
