they have been picking up big one`s west end off from capt. cove only about 30 shack`s out but the ice is 8-10 in. ; golden`s are the preferred bait

Went off the west side where all shantys were. Got 25 nice size perch, some jumbos in about 5½ feet. Had two tip-ups out, 10 or 12 flags and only one fish. They were just playing with the minnows the rest were caught on small jigs w/ wax worms. Steady bite from 2 till 4:30 then nothing.
