slow today.Fished 11:30am until 4:00pm finally caught a 14" rainbow on orange powerbait.Saw 3 other rainbows and 2 small pickeral.Trout were on waxworms and powerbait, the pike were on minnows.Approx 20 icefisherpersons were out but a guy said about 40 were on the ice early this am.

Len- Directions to Laurel Lake.Carlisle exit of tpk, south on rt 81, south on Hanover St./Mt.Holly Springs exit(Rt 34S),Stay on Rt34S through Mt. Holly Springs.On your L you will see a garage w/cars for sale- veer right.(If it's open the Green Mt. General Store (100 ft past garage on R)can give you directions and you can get some bait.) Continue on that road to the lake.Probably best to take the back side road at the lake- veer left at the sign for the bike/hiking trail.Total driving time from the Rt 34 exit of Rt81 to the Lake is approx 25 minutes.( 35 if you obey applicable speed limits

not much action on the lake today. Saw maybe 6 12-15" rainbow trout taken on waxworms and powerbait but that was about all.As for me- nada, zilch,zippo. Lots of fishermen- I counted 40 at one point.Will try again this evening..

Let us know how you do on sat. arley. We are hitting Lake gene and will post on sunday. Hit shep-myer this past thursday and killed the panfish on 3 inches of clear ice. Did good on trout last year at laurel. We hit a good batch of rainbows and nailed about 20 in 5 hours so i know how good it can be there at laurel.

on 12/30 Laurel Lake had at minimum 4" of ice. With the prolonged cold snap here it's probably at least 6" now. Hitting the water Saturday 01/05/02 am.breakfast 6am at Tagg Run Restaurant, then the ice- man those state park outhouses are cold-ha!. stay tuned.
