SUBJECT :A good source says the ice still OK!

One of my fishing buddies fished Chunk for the last few days and told me the ice is still 7 to 9" inches in most areas . BUT!!!! the shoreline and entry pionts are a little shakey... Be careful!!!!!! He did say he had quite a few flags but nothing of any size to them. Smaller shinners and fatheads seem to be best to offer with most luck.

Chunk has only seven inches of ice and has many wet spots along the shoreline which tends to leave a doubt as to haow long it will be safe to venture out.
We had many flags during the day , a few legal pickerel and several 12 to 14 inch Bass. Others were seriously jigging nice grappies and panfish. I usually fish Belztvlle, but took a short road trip to check out a neiboring pond to see what's up elsewhere.
