Checked the ice this morning! The warm weather is killing us.Northeast end has about 1/2" with the middle

The north eastern end has skim ice but the center is still open. Won't be long now!!

Fishing was slow today but the ice is still about
12"-6 ice 6 frozen slush.I caught about a dozen perch in
20' of water-about 2' off bottom.They are on bottom but
wouldn't budge.I tied on a small Rapala swimming lure (blue)on 2lb test and SLOWLY jigged it 2'off bottom.
The perch looked like torpedoes coming off the bottom!
Half were small but there were quite a few 3/4 pounders. Tight Lines,

Weather was great today!The fishing was fair-lots of fish but all small.Small teardrop jig with
PowerWigglers fished a few inches off bottom was the ticket.Perch,crappies and sunnies was all I could muster.The ice is about 12"-7 solid and 5 frozen slush.

Great day today!Winds died down and temps in the 20's.Fish weren't cooperating-I guess because of the front that came in Friday night.

Great turnout for tournament today.Still a
solid 10" of ice.Weather wasn't co-operating-wind gusts
of about 30mph and temps. with windchill about 8degrees.
Can't complain-made a new friend and it's
better than working around the house.

Ice is sloppy but still have solid 6-10" under the slop.The tournament is still on for this weekend-hope to see a good turnout.

Went out this morning-solid foot of ice!Fishing started off good-few perch right away.Lockjaw until about 2:30- hit a school of crappies.

Went out yesterday there was 10" of solid ice and 2" of frozen slush.Fish were hugging bottom with lock jaw.

I just returned from Monksville-today I'll call it
Skunksville!There's 10" of ice and it was a beautifull day but the fish wouldn't co-operate.A few small perch and a pickerel. Tight Lines,

Just got back from Monksville.The fishing was dead today.I caught a few perch and saw a nice pickerel on a tip-up.There is a solid 7" of ice and about 6" of snow.I heard they are catching walleye at the north end right at dusk. Tight lines,

Checked the ice at Monksville 12-31-00 and found about 4".There is about a foot of snow on ice.
Haven't heard about the catches yet!
