This is our 5th year of staying at Chamberlain Lake. Our custom built 8x16 condo (haha) is on the ice and we have already experianced some hot action. This past weekend we caught 58 fish, all lake trout,whitefish and cusk.The ice in the crow's nest is 12" of black ice w/ 1"of snow ice, last year on this date we had 17" of black ice. Extreme Caution is advised on all sections of Chamberlain Lake as the ice varies from 1" to 13", please be safe and check the ice often.Also please be carefull with fires on shore, we discovered yet another ground fire which has burned about one acre, the 2nd one this year in the waterway.
